Plantagenet Society Shows: Audience Participation
As well as staging spectacular demonstrations of archery, dancing, and fighting, Plantagenet Society provide opportunities for brave audiences to join in and try their hand at it!
- For the younger crowd, the desire to emulate the knights can be overwhelming! Squire training allows these little Lancelots to test their mettle as they receive one-to-one instruction from knights to learn the use of swords, axes and maces and try their hand at tilting.
- In addition to the archery demonstrations, Plantagenet Society can provide a safe opportunity for audience members of all ages to try their own hands at archery with personalised one-to-one instruction. With light bows and blunted arrows, even the toddlers can experience the thrill of archery!
- Any audience member who can count to eight (and many who can't) are encouraged to join the Plantagenet ladies in some dances. With a few simple instructions, audiences can twirl and skip their way through branles and farandoles.
- Wanting a souvenir to take home? The souvenir stall not only offers various goods for sale, but also presents the opportunity to do your own brass rubbings. With a dozen replica brasses to choose from, audiences can rub the brass of their choice and take the resulting artwork home.
